Reports
- MailUp has an advanced reporting system that includes statistics, reports, and charts to let you measure the success of a campaign in real time, as it happens.
- For each campaign, for instance, you can quickly see how many recipients opened a message and clicked on any links. All reports are printable and exportable.
Message-level reports
Message-level reports include statistics in both absolute numbers and percentages. They include:
- messages sent over time
- new subscriptions and unsubscribes
- unique and total opens
- unique and total clicks
- click for each link in the message (with visual overlay)
- users that opened and clicked
- number of opens per recipient
- number of forwards
- number of users that experience display issues
- "hidden clicks": recipients that read the message and clicked on a link, but never downloaded the images
- accurate separation between total unique readers, opens (the same recipient might have opened the message multiple times), unique clicking readers, total clicks
- estimate of recipients that read the message, but never downloaded images and never clicked
Recipient level reports
Detailed statistics at the recipient level: how many and which messages they read, and which links they clicked on. Includes a user-level activity chart. These detailed statistics are stored for 90 days by default. You can purchase extensions for an additional fee. Aggregate, message-level statistics are instead stored indefinitely.
Lots of useful features
There are many useful features related to MailUp's reporting engine:
- Group recipients based on activity, then send targeted messages to them (e.g. only to those that clicked on...). Learn more about managing contacts ›
- Erase message statistics when you are done testing
- Get the Marketing+ package for more advanced targeting based on more detailed user data and user activity.
Charts
Lots of charts that illustrate activity at the mailing, campaign, or recipient level, over different time frames (minutes, hours, days, months). Summary charts to compare multiples messages sent, or just some of them, for A/B Testing analysis. Reactivity Trend to visualize trends across multiple messages with regard to opens, clicks, subscriptions, etc., with day/time of the day filters to narrow down the analysis.
Link activity overlay to visualize directly on the message where most of the clicks occurred.
Surveys
Send surveys to learn more about your recipients or to ask them to update their existing information. Part of the advanced marketing features available with the Marketing+ package.
Click tracking
Monitor which links are being click on, in real time. View an summary of activity for a specific message directly overlaid on the message (number of clicks shown next to each link). At the user level, view a report on opens and clicks for multiple messages over time.
Geolocation
MailUp records the geographic location where a message was opened or a link was clicked on, so you can create geographically targeted campaigns in the future.
Web analytics integration
Integration with Web analytics programs: easily attach a Web analytics campaign ID to the links included in your messages.
Click-to-Open Rate
The CTOR (click-to-open rate) is a click-through rate applied to unique readers: since interested readers normally click, this index provides a better idea of the effectiveness of the campaign, compared to just a click-through rate.
Quality Indexes
Three different quality indexes created to help you better understand and compare the results of your campaigns.
Industry Benchmarks
Compare your results with those of your industry (you will be asked to assign each list to a specific industry) and message type (e.g. commercial vs. transactional). When your results are below the benchmarks, targeted suggestions are provided to improve them.
Export
Export statistics via FTP, or integrate with CRM and other third-party systems using our robust APIs.
