Creating Effective Email Messages

400 professionally designed templates available in all sorts of layouts and color schemes, and with vector imags. They are optimized for the most popular email clients, and follow "best practices" in order to avoid being classified as SPAM by filters such as MS Outlook's Smart Screen Technology (Note: this refers to the structure of the message, not the content).
Add & edit templates
Easily edit the existing templates, add new ones, and save any message as a template. Browse the templates using the template selection wizard. Search by theme (e.g. offers, Christmas, color scheme, etc.). Load as many new templates created elsewhere as you wish.

Personalize system messages
All messages shown (Web pages) or sent (email notifications) by MailUp can be customized (e.g. "subscription confirmation" message).

Edit and clone

Automatic message check
Before the message is sent, the system automatically checks:
- message size: to ensure that it's within the limit you set
- existence of unsubscribe link
- tracking links
- correct setup of embedded images (if any)
- attached files (if any)
- dynamic tags: whether they've been correctly setup and formatted
- broken links, to ensure that there are none
- HTML formatting, to ensure consistence with W3C guidelines
- compatibility with mobile devices
Copy and paste your HTML
Advanced copy and paste of existing HTML: automatically clean-up MS Word documents; clean up existing HTML (e.g. font tags); paste from an existing Web page and all images are inserted as absolute URLs to the existing image location.
Image management
Images inserted in your messages can reside in your MailUp console or on a remote server. Your console comes with 25MB of storage space, expandable for a small fee. Built-in tools allow you to create image maps (different links from different areas of the image), and to resize your images.
Embedded images
Mhtml messages, mime mtml, based on the Multipart/related standard, with embedded images, attached to the message and displayed immediately inside the message text, even in the email clients that normally block images (e.g. MS Outlook, Gmail, Thunderbird, Hotmail...).
Files and attachments
Attach a file to a message, or upload it to your MailUp console and automatically add a link to it in your message (without attaching it).
Dynamic fields
Use the message Setup Wizard to choose how to populate the name of the recipients, based - for example - on the Name and Last Name dynamic fields. Requires Message+.
Admin notes
Associate notes to any message so that you can keep a history of admin comments that pertain to a specific campaign.
Social media sharing
Let your recipients share any message on social networks like Facebook and Twitter, and track the viral marketing effect that this creates.
Use your Web pages
If you prefer, you can use your own Web pages for system messages, instead of the ones generated by MailUp (e.g. subscription confirmation page).
Automated messages
Customize the messages that MailUp sends automatically (e.g. the automated opt-in and opt-out confirmation messages): use text, HTML, or load an external page.
Add parameters to pass to an external script when a user subscribes or unsubscribes.
Automatic message archiving
Automatic online archiving of messages that have been sent: specify which messages should be archived, and whether the archive is accessible for public viewing. Add and remove messages to/from the archive. Edit and send any message from the archive.

RSS feed-based message
Create a messages based on a RSS/ATOM feed. Configure multiple, incoming feeds. Select a message template to use, then choose which elements of the feed to include in your message. The message is then created automatically, with pre-formatted text and links, ready to be sent.
Forward to a friend
Instantly add a "Forward to a friend" link to any message.
Custom "Reply-To"
Specify the "Reply-To" address for your messages, and the envelope-sender (return-path), which is used by servers to report errors (e.g. bounces).
Multimedia
Add to your messages:
- Multimedia elements (e.g. auto, video). Note: keep in mind that not all email clients might be able to handle them.
- Adobe Flash animations
