Security & Reliability

Software Platform

MailUp is built on the robust Microsoft .NET platform, with Microsoft SQL Server as the database engine. Everything is hosted is a secure, redundant environment. For more information, please see: IT infrastructure ›

Secure APIs

Our APIs have been designed following security best practices, including IP address restrictions. You can specify the IP addresses that can connect to your MailUp console via the API directly in your MailUp settings.

Up-time Guarantee

We guarantee that our servers will be up 99% of the time.

24/7 Server Monitoring

We are monitoring our servers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. System alerts are sent to mobile devices within 60 seconds of the event. This allows our technicians to intervene at any time, 365 days a year, within an hour.

Secure Storage

Our servers store data on a distributed system made of several, redundant SAN nodes, providing a high degree of reliability and performance.

Service Architecture

MailUp is based on a modular architecture that relies on multiple, redundant application servers. We employ state-of-the-art Microsoft Windows Servers and Microsoft SQL Servers.

Best Practices

Security best practices have been adopted across the board in the design and implementation of our infrastructure, including firewalls that block unauthorized access to the system.

Load Balancing

All of our application servers use a load-balanced cluster configuration. If there is any issue with one of the servers, identical servers pick up the additional workload, without any interruptions to MailUp users.

RIPE-registered IP

The IP addresses used by our mailing servers are registered directly with RIPE.

MailUp Console Access Logs

Administrator access to the MailUp console is logged, including the IP address, to monitor and detect potentially fraudulent activity. When there are multiple users accessing the same console, only the master administrator will view access logs for all users.

Privacy

We follow best practices, rules, and regulations related to the protection of privacy. See our Privacy Policy ›

Guarantees

Our Terms and Conditions of Use provide guarantees with regard to the level of service provided and ownership of the data.

Data Backup

Data is regularly backed up to ensure that important information can be recovered if lost or deleted. Data is backed up in two different physical locations to ensure full redundancy.

Automatic Software Updates

We are constantly updating the MailUp platform, and you'll take advantage of all the improvements we introduce through regular, automated software updates. Nothing to install or to worry about.

Uninterrupted Power Supply

In the event of an outage, our servers receive power through an UPS system that guarantees 50 hours of uninterrupted availability.

Data Center

Our server farm is located at the AEMcom data center in Cremona, Italy. The data center provides a high level of security, including fire suppression systems, anti-flooding systems, air conditioning, Uninterrupted Power Supply, access control, etc. Directly connected to the Milano Internet Exchange, the data center has redundant Internet connections with two carriers. The MailUp team has 24/7 access to the data center and is connected to it via a fiber optic connection.

User-access Controls

MailUp enforces a password policy that requires a new password every 6 months, plus minimum requirements on the string used. Multiple administrators can be created with different levels of access to the system (learn more). Only the master administrator has access to all features.

Service Level Agreement

As a MailUp users you subscribe to a certain bandwidth, which sets the speed at which messages can be sent (see pay-per-speed pricing). The amount of bandwidth that you subscribed to is covered by a Service Level Agreement, and you can monitor the time it takes for your mailings to be completed directly from your MailUp console. The bandwidth used by uploading files and images to your MailUp console does not interfere with the bandwidth reserved for your mailings.

Relationships with ISPs

MailUp has established relationships with all the major international ISPs, including automatic Feedback Loop management and support for List-Unsubscribe.

HTTPS Connection

Available secure access to your MailUp console via HTTPS.
